This listing is for the 1894 California Midwinter Exposition medal. It is referenced as the \"Type II\" and is listed as HK-245A in the Hibler-Kappen catalog of So-Called Dollars, 2nd Edition. It was struck in Brass (33mm) and has a rarity of R-5, meaning 76 to 200 are known to exist. It may be more rare in that only 27 have been graded by NGC. NGC has graded this medal as AU Details - Reverse Scratch. I was surprised at the \"Details\" grade when I got it back from NGC. Upon closer examination of the reverse, I can see a slight scratch on the reverse edge between 9 and 12 o\'clock.
