DESCRIPTION: Offered to you from a private collection is this very rare and much sought after late 19th century (1895) antique Imperial Russian Christian icon with a great number of saints. It was hand made on cardboard paper on top of which was applied thin gold foil. All the details are slightly raised from the paper to create a three dimensional image. It was approved by the Church authorities before it was released to the public. Comes framed behind glass. Shows signs of age, wrinkles and small cuts. Truly a collector item. Size: 10\" x 7 1/2\". For condition see photos. Scarce and highly collectable item.
