Two half-leather volumes in very good condition. Bound by \'Hatchards\' of Piccadilly, with the binders ink stamped signature to the verso of each front free end-paper. Heavy foxing to the page-edges, preliminaries and finishing pages. Marble end-papers. Gilt finish to the heads. Raised-bands and gilt tooling to the spines. Some patchy fading to the leather areas. 748 & 786 pages, with a portrait frontispiece within each volume. Please refer to the uploaded images for a clear indication of both condition and content. Any notable faults, areas of heavy wear or foxing, any inscriptions etc, will be highlighted within the pictures.
