Featured in this sale an 18th Century Antique Colonial Camp Iron Axe Head, circa 1770-90. It is in good condition for its age. The tomahawk spike normally seen has been shaped into a hammer head for more of a use as a tool than a weapon. Overall dimensions are: 6 1/2 inches high by 3 1/2 inches wide at the blade. Similar Camp Hatchets can be seen in George C. Neumann and Frank Kravic\'s book, \" Collector\'s Illustrated Encyclopedia of the American Revolution. It has a some patina, and is unmarked.
