Nice Example of an 18th Century Folding Straight Razor with a Great Horn Handle
Just as seen illustrated on the pages of George Nuemann\'s landmark volume "The Collectors Encyclopedia of the American Revolution"; you\'ll see the example illustrated in the upper left of the book has a wooden handle, this example has an identical blade and has a higher quality horn handle fitted.
A simple enough American folding razor, just as kept in a riflemans field bag. Measures 4 1/4" long (closed), 7 1/2" (open).
Nice patina, some slight oxidation to blade, some age wear to handle, though overall very good+ (click images for enlarged details!)
Up for a week with and only a .99 starting offer.
