DESCRIPTION:
I am pleased to offer you this \"beautiful\" antique German girl doll. Incised on the back of her bisque head is \"Gbr 165 K, 6 below, Germany and a 6 below the neckline. Reference attributes \"G.K.\" to Gebrüder Kuhnlenz 1884-1935 Bavaria, Germany.Reference tells me \"G.K\" made antique bisque head Dolly face dolls, unique Character face dolls and tiny 7\" dolls. It\'s believed that Kuhnlenz also supplied bisque heads to the French market. It tells me Gebrüder Kuhnlenz dolls are of very good quality. This girl measures 19\" tall being a bisque socket head on wooden composition jointed body. Doll is strung fine, jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, legs and knees with all fingers intact. Her fingers and toes accented with red accent lines for that \"life-like\" appearance. Body shows some overall wear, paint touch up but together intact. Doll has a \"sweet\" dolly face with open and close blue glass sleepy eyes that work fine, retains some wax on the eye lids, painted lashes around the eyes, feathered brows, she has open mouth (no teeth), there is a faint dimple in her chin. She has rosy blush on her cheeks, faint rub on the right cheek, a beautiful face. I flashed inside and I do not see any cracks. There is plaster cement that was too secure the sleepy eyes on rocker as most doll people do. Her long dark blonde wig with bangs slips over her head, a charming attractive newer vintage wig. Dressed in a lovely blue Turn of the Century style dress with lace trim, possibly \"A\" is her initial,it snaps down the back. There is a vintage slip, pantaloons, stockings and shoes.
