This was a great estate find. The 3-D stereo viewer is dated 1901 manufactured by Underwood & Underwood, New York. The metal swivel piece on the handle has a Patent date of June 14th, 1881. The viewer does show wear from use and age. The card holder has been replaced. There are 9 cards made by Universal View Co. Publishers, Studio Philadelphia. These are from a 12 card story of Mr. & Mrs. Turtledove\'s New French Cook, copyrighted 1902. Cards number 6, 7 and 11 are missing, but you can still figure out the story and get a good laugh.
