This jugate poster from the 1908 presidential campaign portrays both William Howard Taft and his running mate, James S. Sherman. Each looks appropriately sober and professional, surrounded by a cartouche with 46 stars -- one for each state of the union at the time. This Republican pair ran against William Jennings Bryan and his running mate, John W. Kern, and won the electoral college handily.

The portraits are copyright G. Prince, 1908. The poster is in a simple but classic, unfinished-wood frame to 20 3/4\" x 28\"; sight measures approximately 19 1/2\" x 27\".

There is a very small amount of paper loss to the lower left corner. Otherwise in excellent condition.
