Featured here is beautiful, very oldRookwood Art Pottery vase made in 1913. It is a deep dusky turquoise blue with a stylized motif that surrounds itssquash gourdshape. It stands 3.5 inches tall and 4.0 inches wide. The mouth of the vase is 2.5 inches across. It has been part of my personal collection for years kept in a display case, so is very clean. The glaze is matte not high gloss. The bottom of the vase has the date made in Roman numerals, XIII for 1913, and the flame mark of Rookwood. Dated vases are very rare and the dating adds an extra special dimension to Rookwood. This vase was made BEFORE the Roaring Twenties! It is remarkable condition for its age. Vase will be wrapped well and boxed in a box inside a box for shipping. No other props in the photos are included in this listing. Payment thru PayPal is required at the close of the listing. My home is SMOKE FREE and PET FREE.
I have added photos in response to question re: bottom of vase; two places where glaze looks to have pulled away from rack. These are not chips or cracks. One is notvisible at all from top of vase when vase is upright; the other is barely visible. Very hard to see. See last photos.
