Made in 1918 it is a US Bayonet M1905 with original scabbard.Scabbard - about 16.25 long. has a logo, \"US\" inside a round circle looks like a bomb, with a flame on topLocking mechanism with bayonet works perfectly. Belt clip looks fine too.. Wear on both sides off green paint in spots.Bayonet is 15 5/8\" blade length. Black Bakelite hand grips with a screw. they fit perfectly inside the bayonet grip but the screw does not catch the other side and tighten, it fits int he holes though. No damage to the grips . \"LDC LDR L7\" is stamped on inside of 1 grip. \"AB P5\" looks like stamped on the inside of the other. On the blade on one side is stamped \" US 981171\" and \"S A with the same bomb logo on fire under it, and 1918 under the bomb\" for the Springfield Armory.On Feb-25-18 at 05:25:01 PST, seller added the following information:
the blade is in great condition. no pitting, I run my fingers down both sides top and bottom and its smooth. it\'s almost blackish in color, only a little bit of scratches near the tip where it is used to push in and out of the scabbard. ill be posting pics of the blade sunday night.
ok I cant delete and therefore add pics of the blade. But it is blackish in color, no rust or pitting. smooth when I run my fingers down both sides. Just wear/scratches minor where tip goes into scabbard.
14 day inspection also. if you are not happy with it, just send it back. you will have to pay your return postage be advised, but I will refund your highest offer. So if you are paticular on condition, and I have not answered or show in photos something just let me know. I can and will take and send you photos of anything you want. Of course the blade too.
