Scarce and terrific vintage \"Chubby Kid\" carnival doll by the Gem Doll Corp., circa 1920s - 1930s, composition with jointed arms, painted shoes and socks, mohair wig, approx. 24\" tall, unmarked. A bit of paint loss to left shoulder; wig mostly detached and somewhat worse for the wear; small hole to back of left calf (clearly a manufacturing flaw); and a few unobtrusive superficial hairlines to back and top of head; otherwise very good and sound overall, the paint original and well-preserved.
Rare in this large size. A charming example needing only a little TLC to recapture her former Jazz Age glory, offered with !
