From 1923 to 1927 for unknown reasons the crown was left off of the top of the Royal Doulton mark and it just had the lion. The bottom of the jar is signed MB. It measures 9 5/8 inches to the top of the handle, 7 3/4 inches tall to the top of the lid and 6 3/4 inches tall to the top of the jar. The top and bottom measure 4 3/4 inches in diameter. It is 5 1/2 inches at the widest point and is 6 1/8 inches deep. There are no chips or cracks.
