I purchased this at a recent estate sale. It was sold as \"chalk ware\", but I\'mfar from an expert. Someone explained to me that very old chalk ware washeavy; he weighs 6lbs 5oz. I was also told that it was signed simply \"Walt\";I cannot find a signature anywhere.
From the research that I did, I believe Mickey\'s face was changed fromwhite to a Caucasian color in about 1938. I also noted that he hasblack hands without the white gloves added in the 1930\'s? He hasgreen pants instead of shorts and black shoes.
As you can see in the pictures, he has many chips/scrapes. The centerof the left ear appears to have some kind a patch or repair? Needs tobe thoroughly cleaned - dust in the crevices.
20\" tall; about 8\" at widest point.
