1935 Jubilee Year souvenir set of six sterling silver teaspoons made byRoberts & Belk. Each spoon has the additional Jubilee hallmark on top of the usual ones; furthermore, each spoon is assayed by one of the six assay centres that were operating in Britain in 1935 - Sheffield, Birmingham, London, Chester, Glasgow and Edinburgh; Glasgow and Chester no longer have assay offices.The set comes in the original blue and silverleatherette box, inscribed \"British Hallmarks\" and even has the original cardboard box with the label \"A most interesting and valuable souvenir record of the Jubilee Year 1935\".ConditionSpoons in great condition. Very light scuffing to the blue leather presentation case; wear to the outer cardboard box.

All my silver and silver plated items have been given a quick polish witheitherTableauorNushinewhich are advertised as plating solutions. Whilst they won’t silver plate your copper (contrary to what they may claim), I do recommend them for taking care of silver plated items in particular, as they won’t strip off the thin silver layer, unlike silver cleaning products.My full guide to cleaning silver and silver plate can befound here.
