Rare in this case is absolutely Correct.
These Presidential Inaugural License Plates were first made for the Inauguration of Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1933. That year 500 pair were made and they were parceled out to Roosevelt\'s supporters. In 1937, they did this again and they made a thousand pair. Their are ONLY 107knownplates of the thousand pair (2000 plates) made in 1937.There are only 12 known of these two digit Presidential Inaugural license plates for 1937. This#87is one of those 12. In fact there are fewer two digit plates known for 1937 than for 1933. (There are 14 known two digit plates for 1933.)
This license plate was professionally restored by Joe Kandalec -- IMO, the best in the business of license plate repainting/restoration.
