This is an ORIGINAL WWII poster entitled “AIRACOBRA—POISON TO THE AXIS…AND A FIGHTER THE ARMY AIR FORCES PRAISE” . 1943. U. S. Army


  • Linen-backed with slight restoration by the artisans at dba Innis Archive.
  • 28 5/8” x 38 1/4” plus approximately 1 3/4” linen perimeter.
  • The artist is unknown.
  • The image is that of the underside of an Airacobra airplane in flight, its guns blazing, while in the background, an enemy plane is seen spiraling earthward, in flames.


NOTE: This is an ORIGINAL poster; not a copy or reproduction. Reproductions of this poster are often seen on line. The ORIGINAL is scarce.


CONDITION: Linen-backed with slight restoration along the fold lines by dba Innis Archive. A beautiful poster and certainly suitable for framing. The studs seen at the four corners in some photographs are magnets, to hold the piece in place during photography. They did not penetrate or mar the surface of the poster.


The poster will be shipped rolled, in a hard mailing tube, priority mail.
