From my personal US M1 helmet collection.....SHIPPING NOTE:
recently a buyer/buyer questioned me on the $2.95 vs. $7.15 postal shipping cost.
factory MINT sweatbands can lay FLAT....and can be shipped attached to cardboard slab with
protective bubble wrap over it.
Sweatbands which were once placed inside a liner cannot lay \'flat\'....and if any attempt is made
to \'flatten\' them out....the retainer clips will tear into the leather upper edge section. Hence, these
must be shipped inside a cardboard box. Having or finding a proper SMALL size cardboard is often
problematic....thus, for expedient shipping reasons, the PRIORITY SMALL BOX flat rate is often quoted.
i have collected US M1 Helmets for many many yrs....and know the shipping issues involved.

age stiffened....but NOT brittle. some tiny minor cracking at the mouths corners of the

NO heavy overt wear staining. has some minor slight patina wear along
parts of the upper edge....see image.
