$3800.00

This extremely rare1940s Rowe Cigarette machine is a stylish token of vending history. Rowe wasone of the largest manufacturers of cigarette vending machines; after all,William Rowe created the first ever cigarette machine in 1926. The infantmodels could hold only about 100 packs of cigarettes, whereas a later modelsuch as this could hold a few hundred. In order for a cigarette machine to beprofitable in the 1940s, the machine had to sell at least 70 packs per week. The industry average for selling packs was 150 packs per week, so having amachine that was capable of holding more packs allowed the operator to serviceindividual machines less frequently. This machine has been partially restored and is fully functional. There is a small crack in the lower right corner of the original mirror that occurred during a bar fight according to the owner in Philadelphia. It is currently set to vend at 35 cents perpack. Two keys are available for both the top and bottom cabinets. This item would be a great conversation piece and an awesome addition to anyrecreation room, man cave, she-shed, or ladies lounge. This item measures 65\"high x 27\" wide x 13\" deep.
