William Earl Johns (5 February 1893 ? 21 June 1968) was an English pilot and writer of adventure stories, usually written under the pen name Captain W. E. Johns although he never held that rank. He is best remembered as the creator of the ace pilot and adventurer Biggles.

In a green cloth binding in an unclipped dustwrapper in an acetate protective covering. Externally, smart. Dustwrapper is generally smart, lightly rubbed in places. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean. Overall: VERY GOOD INDEED in aNEAR FINEdustwrapper.
