JUPITER ROCKETLAUNCH PAD
Made in Japan in the 1950`s by Nomura toys, of all lithographed tin construction. Measures 8 inches tall by 7 inches wide by 4 inched deep. Beautifully detailed graphics with a lavender base and exciting scenes of space exploration, rocket domination, and blast off, to the sides. The well defined, threedimensional man sits \"working\" the levers at theancient control desk with the video monitor.Place two batteries into the bottom, close the latch, and push the rocketdowninto the tower...this will activate the count-down. A shrill beep/honking will blare from the controls as the monitor flashes off and on with the screen showing a rocket all lit up and ready to go! The count-down continues a bit faster...when suddenly, the rocket shoots out of the tower like a bullet, but that`s alright, the top part is rubber, and when it lands, it`s ready for another go. It is supposed to come with two, two piece rockets but we only have one, and a half of another, also the fins are worn or broken off from the bottoms. The weighty rubber top half is stillpliable and when the rocket drops from the \"sky\", it stays together like it should. The toy is very clean, still works fine, displays very well, and would fit nicely into any space, science, or batteryoperatedJapanese tin toy collection.
