\"Bugs Bunny\" FS-401

Beautiful frosty mint bloom with traces of the original amber gold speckles that are characteristic of 1953-D mint set coins. Razor sharp strike and excellent eye appeal. There are several prominent clashes for 1953-D, all of which involve two spikes coming down form the nose. The FS-401 attribution is used when the upper lip is engulfed by the left prong. Additional clashing has distorted the end of Franklin\'s lip into a spike, as well. That said, PCGS is extremely stingy giving FS-401 to 1953-Ds, and the population is very low, at 13 in MS64FBL, 5 in MS65FBL (10/16). PCGS price guide is $1250 in MS64FBL.
CAC,or Certified Acceptance Corporation, green-stickers only coins that are solidor high-end for their assigned PCGS/NGC grades.
