We specialize in Singer model 222K Featherweight sewing machines. I offer for sale top quality 222K Featherweights as well as their attachments and accessories.
In many of the photographs light is reflected from the edges of the machine. There is not any paint missing from the edges. It is reflected light.
THE 110-120 VOLTAGE MOTOR OPERATES SMOOTHLY. THIS 222K FEATHERWEIGHT WILL OPERATE IN THE USA AND CANADA.
The serial number of this Featherweight is EL178020 which dates this machine to March 2, 1956
To be original 222K Featherweights must have either Canadian or UK motors. 222K Featherweights were never produced in the USA and were never originally sold with USA motors.Most 222K machines in North America had Canadian motors originally installed but there are a a few machines that have motors made in Great Britain.This beautiful Singer 222K Featherweight runs quietly and smoothly as well as sews a nice stitch. It has been taken apart, parts checked with faulty parts replaced with original Featherweight parts, spotlessly cleaned, reassembled, waxed, serviced tested for sewing and a sample sewn. The testing consists of the machine going through a final 9 point checklist before being listed. The checklist is given at the very end of the listing description.

2) Foot control checked for range of speeds.
3) Electrical cords checked for any damage.
4) Bobbin winder tested. Bobbin wound.
5) Bobbin case tested for correct tension.
6) Upper tension tested and adjusted.
7) Sewing ability including reverse tested.8) Sew/Darn lever checked.
9) Sample sewn including 90 degree corners.
