1957 SINGER 222K FREEARM SEWING MACHINE 110V
This model of the rare 222K was manufactured in August 1957, serial # EM604609. It is the Canadian 110V Canadian model. Singer
manufactured the aluminum body of the machine in the Kilbowie, plant in Clydebank Scotland and then shipped them to the St. Johns,
Quebec plant where they were outfitted with Canadian 110V motors for the North American market. The machine has excellent decals as can be seen in the photos. There is evidence of use, visible only if the machine is held to catch reflected light. The appearance is like new. The
black enamel has a glossy shine. It has never been stored in garages or the like, the inner workings are a testament and
proof of that.
The tiny speck in the 3rd photo is actually a bit of gold decal paint embedded in the finish. \'A beauty mark\'.

The singer Swiss Zigzag attachment # 160990. The set includes the 5 cogs. It works as an excellent walking foot as well.

The manual is original to the machine and in very good condition. The foot pedal is complete with long, flexible, excellent wires. The white linen pouch included protects the machine\'s enamel finish
from being damaged by the plug prongs during storage. It was sewn on this machine.
The case comes with the 2 original keys. The case is clean and sturdy with no musty odors. The lock and hinges are excellent.
Clearly this machine has been well cared for. Mechanically excellent, the machine is powered by the North American current motor. The CAJ6-* (J for St. Johns) is strong, fast and quiet.
It\'s worth noting that the 222K was never produced in the US. I have been collecting, servicing and adoring this model of Singer for years and have taken great care to insure that the machine is in perfect
working order. The tension, bobbin area, bobbin winder, belt, oil and lubrication have all been gone over. The motor brushes are like new.
