1950s or 60s DRUNKEN KILLER MINI CLOWN PAINTING BY JOSEPH CHABOTAn original oil painting by Joseph Chabot circa 1960. The painting features a drunken mini clown in full makeup wearing a red and white suit while sitting in a drinking glass. Mid-Century artist Joseph Chabot was known for his Noir like city scenes of the 40’s and 50’s. Joseph’s wife Mary Chabot owned Encino Gallery in Los Angeles for many years. Joseph Chabot, Fred Nestroyl, and his brother Leon Chabot ran a picture framing business called Framecraft located in the Robertson art district in West Los Angeles.
