Made in 1972 this rare coalport england glazed white background bone china gold trim rim plate limited edition number 61 of 2,000. One side plate transferware painting by Roy Nickoids of racing car Marmon Wasp driven by Ray Harroun, winner of the first Indianapolis \"500\" in 1911. Speed 74.59 m.p.h. Gold trim very good plus condition. Other side is black and white transferware picture of 1970\'s Indy 500 starting of race. On black and white side of plate are 3 minor factory flaws where plate was set to be fired in kiln, if you look up close and turn plate in light, you will see flea bite flint like chip marks made from sitting while firing. Marks are spaced 4 1/2 inches apart, located in center of white band. Other than these 3 very minor factory flaws, its a very nice looking plate. No box or certificate.
