Disclaimers and other information: I have developed this section to answer common questions I regularly answer from customers. The coins being offered are raw coins. Most individual coins come directly from mint-sealed proof sets, sealed mint cello etc. and are placed into individual plastic baggies (or flips or rolls depending on the situation) for shipping to you. I take great care with my coins - using cotton gloves to not introduce oils or other flaws onto the surfaces. I also unpack my coins in a sterile, smoke-free Environment to prevent dust or other contaminants from interfering with your coins. Except when noted, I always try to exclude \"problem\" coins from my sales - the coins I send are coins that I would generally put into my own sets. Most proof coins have been photographed with the devices lit and mirrored fields in shadow to better highlight any flaws. The coins are not black.

Unless a coin is graded by a third party grader, I do not give it a numerical grade. Numerical grades are highly subject to opinion. I do use certain general terms which adhere to ANA Grading Standards. I use the term \"High Quality\" to describe coins with good eye appeal and no major imperfections. \"BU\" stands for brilliant uncirculated and describes the nature of the coin surfaces as natural and relatively un-toned - this term does not imply any relative grade level. On all coins, a small amount of natural toning may develop over time and uncirculated coins may have small bag marks due to the production process. Anything unusual for the age and type of the coin will be noted in the listing. I use the term \"Gem\" to describe a coin with an expected very high ANA grade equivalent. I use the term \"Choice\" to describe a coin with an expected ANA grade equivalent of higher than normal. The vast majority of coins I sell are modern and not individually inspected beyond a cursory examination to identify major flaws. Don\'t assume that a coin that\'s not listed as Choice or Gem is of a lesser quality. I use these terms sparingly at best and I sell raw coins all the time that stand a good chance at grading out higher without calling them \"Gem\" in the listing. Imperfections that I consider to be outside the norm will be noted in the sale. As always, if you do have questions about anything, please ask before making your purchase.

Shipping: your purchase is always shipped highly protected - in most cases in a sturdy bubble mailer reinforced at the edges and flaps with heavy-duty packing tape. I have never had a package break open during shipping. So if your package has been damaged during transit please follow these important instructions: First, do not open it. I know it\'s tempting to look inside to see if the items are damaged but please don\'t. Take pictures and contact me immediately. I will need photos of the un-opened package as well as the form the USPS gave you regarding damage to the package to file a claim. I reserve the right to ship signature required on any order. Please make sure your shipping address can take signature-required packages. I am not responsible for packages lost or stolen after delivery - please contact the postal inspector in your area if this has happened to you. Thanks!
