This sale is features a 1:24th scale diecast of theFranklin Mint 1978 Chevrolet Corvette. American sports car, 7 1/2\" long (200 mm), is produced in exacting detail by Franklin Mint Diecast. It is in beautiful condition (was kept securely in a showcase), but there is no original Box. It does include an acrylic display case, with paperwork, the hang tag, color flyer and unpacking sheet (shown above).

The Corvette was 25 years old in 1978 and the celebration was on. The 1978 Corvette featured a commemorative badge on the front nose. A special two tone paint scheme consisting of dark silver on the lower body and light silver above separated by a dark silver stripe was offered. It was a year of significant changes to the C3 Corvette. A new \"fastback\" design which made for a smoother silhouette and answered criticisms of limited luggage space. It was equipped with a 350 cu. in. 185 hp engine.

This is a very detailed 1/24 scale diecast model. It features opening doors, an opening hood and poseable steering. Underhood detail is very nice on the350 cubic-inch Chevy V8 engine. Nice interior detail, with readable dash gauges. It is now out of production and should make an excellent addition to your vintage \"American Sports Car\" memorabilia or Franklin Mint collectibles.
