Here\'s the 1984 Cellularphone Pete Fountain Gold Aluminum 12g Doubloon. The doubloon measures 39 mm or 1 1/2\" in diameter and is in Very Good Condition. Payment due within 48 hours of purchase. Note: The obverse features the Radiofone Logo and reads \"HAPPY MARDI GRAS...NEW ORLEANS...CELLULARFONE BY RADIOPHONE.\" The reverse features Pete Fountain Playing His Clarinet and reads \"MARCH 6, 1984.\" These doubloons were issued by Radiofone in the Greater New Orleans Area during the 1984 Carnival Season. Great example of how Mardi Gras Doubloons were used as a form of Advertising. (Unless specifically described as \'toning,\' any Gold, Green or Purple Hues appearing on any item are the reflection of a Mardi Gras Banner which hangs above my desk.)
