Until just a few months ago, England\'s Nigel Mansell had more Formula 1 wins than any other driver from the UK, eclipsing Scotland\'s Jackie Stewart (now surpassed by Hamilton). He left Williams Grand Prix over contract haggling and traveled to the US, where he won as a \"rookie\" on the Indy car circuit not just races but that title as well, making him the second person to be an Indy car and F-1 champion; Mario Andretti the other.This limited edition model was put of by Vitesse-Quartzo to celebrate the winning of the Williams team of both the driver\'s and manufacturer\'s championships in the 1992 Formula 1 season. This model, encased in an acrylic case that is perfect, also comes with a nice certificate explaining it is # 4921 out of 5,000 models produced, that the Williams of Mansell had 9 victories out of 16 races, that the car was approx. 700 bhp at 15,000 rpm, that the engine was a 3.5 litre V-10, and that it was a regularly aspirated engine. The certificate is stored in a little slot underneath the base, a nice touch. This model also comes with the protective cardboard sleeve it originally came with.This model is Mint in every way and I list it as used simply because I bought it from a dealer. It was immediately stored in my office, which is away from direct-light and always smoke-free.
