This is an original press photo. Celebration in the Oaks - Work has begun preparing City Park\'s Celebration in the park Christmas decorations. Parks employees could be seen painting, hanging lights and placing mythical creatures in some of the park\'s waterways. According to Clarence Eckelman, coordinator of Celebration in the Oaks, they will be over 500 tree ornaments 3-6 feet in diameter and better than a million lights that will be a part of the decorations. The job with started on August 1, 1994 will take three months to complete and about two months to dismantle. The exhibit will be open to the public the day after Thanksgiving until after New Years. A water monster awaits to be towed into one of the lagoons. Photo measures 10 x 8 inches. Photo is dated 11-03-1994.
