A matching pair of beautiful Chinese hand embroidered woven silk sleeve/cuff bands, rice paper under c1890

The embroidery is very well executed in mostly in slightly raised tiny stitches, outlined in cream pekin knots, really good detail and shading. Five pairs of figures, bats, flora, storks & symbols in many vibrant shades/colours of silk on a fine woven pale lilac silk ground. See reverse image 17, this fine hand work must have been part of a top quality robe.

No fade, colour distortion, holes, rips or repairs. Please look at all the images as they are a very important part of the description, click on any picture to enlarge.

All I can see is slight grubbiness to the silk and a few tiny spot marks on the edge see pic 16, otherwise excellent embroidery in very good condition. Insured mail to overseas destinations.

Each measures : 22 inches long x 3 3/4 ins wide.
