19th C Austrian Silver Torah Holder with Crown and Complete Scroll Judaism:

This is a antique silver 800/1000 torah or scroll holder. The antique scroll is inside, it is made of strong material like heavy parchment or almost feels like leather, it is sewen to the end silver bar. It is likely from Austria Hungary, it came out of an estate of a woman who came to the US from Austria in the early 30\'s most of the silver I purchased from her estate is 1920 and much earlier. The holder is in good condition, the roller is sticking, I pulled the entire scroll out once and it was difficult to get it back in so I have left it partially out I do not want to damage it, it needs to be carfully rolled back up. The silver is likely hallmarked on the inside but I have not taken it apart. Nice silver work with the very nice crown. The holder measures 8 1/4\".
