Measuring 2 3/16” in length with a bow width of 13/16”, this delightful tiny key exudes a special charm that only such a diminutive example can convey!The ‘frog leg’ motif of its bow was embraced by keysmiths for quite some time from the late 1700’s through the 19th century and was often used in medium to very large sized keys, but due to its rare size, this small beauty is truly, a collector’s delight!Well preserved and boasting a wonderful old patina, this little gem is sure to please! Its bit pattern has been emblazoned with a cross filed in the center . . . and the wear pattern to the foot of its bit reveals continued usage over time.
