For your consideration in this sale is an antique writing box aka Lap Desk. It measures12 3/4inches long,8 3/4inches wide, and 43/8 inches tall when it is closed. This box has been totally refinished inside and outside. The original lock has been replaced with an exterior hasp lock. It has the usual paper storage compartments above and below the writing surface. Includedis one ink bottle which is probably not original.The box is structurally solidand has only two tight drying cracks on the top. No other damage was noted. The exterior wood and interior surfaces appear to be walnut and the interior secondary wood is pine. Please use pictures to add to your description.
