19thC Samurai Battle Japanese Woodblock Print Triptych Utagawa Kuniyoshi (?) (c):
$255.00

I am not sure who made this Japanese woodblock print, however it looks like the work of Utagawa Kuniyoshi. It depicts a large Battle scene on water with boats. It is in good condition with good color (see photographs). Each print of the triptych measures 14 1/2 inches high by 10 1/2 inches wide. If anyone knows anything about this woodblock print and the artist, please feel free to send me a message and let me know :) I recently inherited a large collection of 19th century Japanese woodblock prints. I will be saleing off prints from this collection over the next couple of months. There are also a number of 20th century prints that I will be offering. There are prints by Kunisada, Toyokuni, Kuniyoshi, Hasui, Hiroshi Yoshida, Hiroshige, Yoshitoshi, Shotei, Koitsu, Koson, Kasamatsu etc. You can see some of the collection in the last photograph. There are quite a few beautiful triptychs as well! Please note that my expertise is more in the area of 20th century Shin Hanga woodblocks (published by Watanabe etc). I will do my very best to describe these prints, however I will leave it up to the experts to offer accordingly. Also, if you do know anything about these then please feel free to send me a message so I can add it to my listing :) Please Note that the woodblock prints in the last photograph are just an PREVIEW of all of the woodblock prints that I will be offering. This sale is for the one woodblock print photographed by itself. Thanks!
