A lovely late 19th century genre scene of two children feeding ducks as they walking along a road. With a narrative of coveting food- the boy pays side glances over the girls shoulder wanting what she has got. Perhaps he has run out of bread.
Beautifully observed with a tenderness, it is extremely well painted. Most likely of continental origin, possibly Italy or Germany, it is signed A Muller. A good sized painting, this is the first of the genre scenes I am listing, please see the other as it would look great as a pair displayed together.

Condition: Losses to the sky, requiring restoration, however the main image is in good condition. Some scattered cracquelure commensurate with age.
