Presentedfor your consideration is thisbeautiful Victorian pickle castor. It features a wonderful James Tufts silver plated holder with two adorable \"Kate Greenaway\" girls. The base is especially pretty with lots of embossed detail. A set of very nice tongs is included. It measures 9 3/4\" high and 4 1/4\" across at the base. The frame is in exceptional estate condition with no damage, wear or repairs noted. The insert jar is also a winner. It is light amber with a diamond optic pattern on the \"melon rib\" shape. The floral enamel decoration is lovely. The jar is 5\" high, 2 1/2\" across at the top opening, about 3\" at the widest point and 2 1/8\" at the base.This piece is also in very good condition with the only very minor flaw I find a couple of tiny flakes on the inner rim--not at all visible with the lid in place.This is aspecial exampleand should be welcome in any serious collection.The cost of U.S. insured shipping and proper packingvaries with your postal zone--see estimate above.
