19th c painted wood elephant push toy
FANTASTIC! 19th century child\'s painted wood elephant push toy. Very good original condition, circa 1880-90. There is one old repair on a front wheel, carefully done with a 1935 French cinq centime (5 cent) coin. This toy is mechanical. When it is pushed, the legs and head move and the tail waggles. Painted on both sides in red, yellow, green and black on a pale gray body. Tin push plates. Absolutely charming. Measures 13.5\" high x 18\" long x 6\" deep at base.

I put local pick up in the items description because always seems to put to low a price for shipping valuable or fragile items that have to be shipped double boxed and properly insured, like this item.
