2 Antique Grandfather Clock Weights. We had some grandfather clocks in our store several years ago, and the weights went missing on one of them. Finally, they have turned up, although the clock is long gone. The clock they went with was from the United Kingdom, possibly Scotland.
The two weights appear to have brass enclosures. A previous owner has written \"L\" and \"R\" on them in black ink. The \"L\" weight is 9 pounds 4 ounces. The contents inside seem like a solid mass, and will slide a bit as the weight is tipped back and forth.
The \"R\" weight is 8 pounds 8 ounces. This one has the sound of small beads inside when tipped back and forth.
Neither has any obvious markings on the outside (other than the \"L\" and \"R\"). They measure 11 inches in total length, and are 2-3/4 inches in diameter. A magnet is not attracted to the top cover, but is weakly attracted to the bottom cover. The magnet is most attracted to the lower portion of the main cylinder on each of them.
Condition: Very good to excellent. There are no dings, dents, or other significant damage. All pictures show the actual weights you will receive.
