2 Leaves Russian Orthodox Old Church Slavonic Bible with Blue Border and Psalms:

For sale are two (2) Old Church Slavonic printedleaves. The first printed is from a work entitled \"AKATHIST toOur Holy and God-Bearing Father Seraphim, the Wonder-Worker of Sarov.\"It is beautifully printed with red headings (on both sides of the sheet)and with an intricate blue design around the text block (on both sidesof the sheet). It is not nearly as old as the others, and I would guessthat the age is late 19th century. The size is about 6 1/2 in. x 10 in.

The 2nd leaf came from a very old Old Church Slavonicprinted Book of Psalms, dated to the late 17th century orearly18th century. The size is about 6 in. x 7 1/4in.

On these two printed leaves, there are many instancesof the NOMINA SACRA or \"Sacred Names.\"

The AKATHIST blue-coloredleaf sheet has the following: two instances of \"God\"; \"The Lord\"; \"Alleluia\" or \"Halleluyah.\"

The Psalms leaf has the following:one instance of \"The Psalm of David\" and four instances of \"The Lord.\" This leaf has stains and discoloration onthesheet, due to their age and liturgical use over the centuries.
