2 Pre-historic Shale PROJECTILE POINTS - Partial - Fort Saskatchewan Alberta (A-site)

For your consideration are 2 points - partials, both being surface finds and one is a bright orange shale which is quite a rare find. The site name is Albert (A) and theBorden number is FjPh-402-A-378. This was in the area close to Fort Saskatchewan on the west side of highway 21 on the way to Fort Saskatchewan. I\'ve been to this site many times and found a number of pieces myself. Also known as the Van Hecke site (it was Mr. Van Hecke\'s property).

A-40. Orange Shale, Point - Partial. This was found/collected by my dad on August 11, 1969. The size is 30.84 mm long x 20.95 mm across at the widest part x 5.02 mm thick.

A113. Shale, Point - Partial/Frag. This point was found/collected by my dad on August 1, 1969. The size is 18 mm long x 15.13 mm across at its widest point x 3.98 mm thick.

Ouritems have been featured on the Canadian Antiques Roadshow and the prestigious sale house,Bonhams and Butterfields in San Francisco sold some of our native items. Our specialty is items of Plains, Plateau, Sub-Arctic and Arctic people as well as Fur Trade -specifically, HBC.
