RAREEarly Style 1930’s Duo-Diodes
These used tubeshave been tested for emissions. On my Hickok TV-7 tester they read 54/51 and 54/54.A reading of 40 would represent the minimum recommended value. These usedZenith branded tubes are from 1930’s USA production. The Zenith logos are hotstamped into the bases. One base has been re-glued. These would be the correctstyle 6H6 to use in a late 1930’s Zenith radio.
The 6H6 duo-diodewas designed for use as a diode detector, AVC rectifier and as a powerrectifier in low drain applications. The 6H6 was produced in 3 differentenvelopes including metal, G and GT. Ruggedized “WGT” versions were also made.
