DESCRIPTION:
Offering this lovely antique bisque head K * R Kammer & Reinhardt doll. From a doll estate I do not know her past history but will describe the best I can. Incised on the back of her bisque head is \"K * R, Simon Halbig, 403, with 62 below the neck\". Reference attributes this doll to Kammer & Reinhardt, 1909+ Germany, the bisque socket heads were made by Simon & Halbig. She measures 25” tall being a bisque socket head with jointed wood composition body. Body shows overall wear, scuffs, together intact, a good German body for being 100 years old. Doll is strung fine jointed at the shoulders, elbows, wrists, legs and knees & has all fingers intact. Fingers accented with red lines for a realistic look. I do not see any cracks or hairlines, there is plaster cement that was used to secure the eyes on rocker as most doll people do. A \"gorgeous\" face with open and close brown glass sleepy eyes that work fine, retains some wax on the eye lids, brown feathered brows, she has open mouth with upper teeth intact, a faint dimple in the chin. Nice color blush on her perfect little face, she has pierced ears but is not wearing any earrings. Her dress has lace and ribbons accents, it buttons down the back. It needs a good \"cleaning\" after being on this doll for many years, I have not attempted to clean it., you may wish to replace it. Doll wears, slip, pantaloons, stockings and shoes. Brunette wig is lovely with locks of curls, an older synthetic wig, it slips over a pate on her head. This is a \"beautiful\" antique doll for a collection or display! I have taken plenty of photos.
