Offered without a reserve are these 26 antique Christmastree candle weights. We believe that theballs that provide the weight are made of clay.Nineteen of these are made in a style that includes a loop aboutone-third of the way below the candle cup and from this, an elbow form hookhangs for hanging from a tree branch. Thesecandle weights vary a bit in length, with some approx. 5 ½ in. long and others5 ¾ in. Ten of these weights are a darkpurple and nine are a shade of red. Alsoincluded are 1 candle weights that include a hooked section of wire just underthe candle cup. One of these is a shadeof light green, one is gold and one is red.finally, there are 4 weights that have the wire threaded through thecandle cup, forming a hook for the weight to hold on to. Each of these four is a brick tone.

Condition is quite good.There are nicks and glaze losses on the purple and red clayweights. One of the purple weights alsogoes through the candle cup instead of being soldered to the underside of thecandle cup. One of the red weights is somewhatmisshapen and has a couple of ridges in it.The brick-tone candle weights each have a dark spot near theunderside.
