DESCRIPTION:
This listing is for a \"lovely\" antique German \"Queen Louise\" doll with \"line crack\" repairs. Incised on the back of her bisque head is \"30.5 upper top of head, Germany, Queen Louise, 10\".Reference attributes to 1890+ Germany, by Armand Marseille doll maker. This doll measures 26\" tall being a bisque socket head on wooden composition jointed body. Body has the original finish with some overall wear, scuffs,for being 100 or so years old, all fingers intact, outlined with red ink for that life like appearance. Doll is jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, legs and knees strung fine. She has a \"sweet\" face with open and close bluegray sleepyeyes that work fine, painted black lashes around her eyes, sparse remains of mohair lashes on the eye lids, brush stroked brown brows, shehas open mouth withupper teeth, there is a faint dimple in her chin. High color blush on her face. I flashed inside and see line crack \"repairs\". On the outside of the head it looks like pencil marks, see close up photos please, head is secure with this repair. Her \"human hair\" wig seems to cover the lines just fine. Wig is lovely, well made, long, an older wig with human hair label, it slips over a pate on her head. Inside the head is plaster cement that was used to secure the sleepy eyes on rocker as most doll people do. \"Louise\"wears a vintage violet white dot dress that buttons down the back. There is an attached apron, and matching bonnet. She wears panties, stockings and black boots with small heels. Please look at my photos they will serve as part of this description.
