Victorian Egg Lot…5 Hand Blown, Opaque, Snowy White Glass Eggs That Date to the Late 19thC. to Early 1920s. Usually Given as Gifts to Celebrate Easter with Smaller Sizes Referred to as Nesting Eggs. Larger Sizes Were Usually Hand Painted in Water Color Paints with Easter Messages and Greetings, But Due to Nature of Water Color Paints, Many of Their Original Design Did Not Last…But the Eggs Could Be Used Year After Year. Smaller Sizes Also Were Used for Darning Socks.

Dimensions…Think Goose Egg to Oversized Chicken….Heights Range from (2) 5”, (2) 4.5” and (1) 3” Tall. Around the Middle, Girths Range from 11-1/4, 10-1/4”, 9-3/8”, 8-7/8” to Smallest of 7-1/2”.

Excellent Condition…Bright and Shiny with No Apparent Damage. 2 Show Traces of Original Hand Painted Design, But the Details Have Been Lost Through Years of Enjoyment.
