Luther was not the first theologist raising the issues he raised. A hundred years earlier, Czech priest Jan Hus preceded him. Hus was granted free access to the Church council meeting at Constance, but was sentenced to death and burnt on the fringe of the city. Hus (who\'s name meant \"goose\") died in the fire saying \"Today, you are killing a goose. Later, there will be a swan to emerge\". In commemoration of Hus, Luther chose the image of a swan as his \"logo\".

Bonn is the former German capital; the headquarters of postal service are located there.

The image of the postmarker shows middle age troubadour Oskar von Wolkenstein.
