A very fine antique, circa 1900, translucent and opaque cloisonne enamel hinged compact with design of rosette in diamond, and having fish scale at corners. The interior is silver gilt. It is unmarked, and probably Russian made, or possibly French, or Scandinavian. It measures 3\" wide by 2-5/8\" deep by 3/8\" tall. The hinge is fine secure. All enamels are without chips or cracks, simple silver thumb piece.
