The beads are seeds from a Juniper Trees from the Grand Canyon Area on the Navajo Reservation. The juniper seeds are dried and collected after ants have eaten one end of the seed, then is hollowed out. A hole is made on the other side of the seed by a hot needle. They are worn for protection, tranquility and to ward off evil spirits. These beads are hand strung. Buy directly from Navajos from the Navajo Nation.
