8 Vintage La Fonda Del Sol Mayer Restaurant China Flat Rim Soup Bowls A Girard
Description: Set of 8 Vintage Mid Century Modern La Fonda Del Sol Restaurant Soup bowl. These bowls were manufactured by Mayer China, was supplied by Minners Supply, designed by Alexander Girard and is authentic Restaurant China used at the famed La Fonda Del Sol Restaurant in the lobby of the Time/Life Building in Manhattan, New York City. La Fonda Del Sol translates to \"The Inn of the Sun\". The restaurant was housed in lobby of the glass sheathed Time Life Building. All the interior furnishings, china, printed material, linens and advertising was designed by Alexander Girard. The design of their dinnerware was incredible! Simple yet fantastic timeless design that blends well in today\'s time. The restaurant closed 10 years later.

Dimensions: They measure just about 9\" wide and just over 1-5/8\" tall.
Condition: These bowls are in excellent condition with virtually no signs of wear, no chips or cracks. They have typical light wear associated with china used in a commercial establishment. Please carefully review photos and feel free to email with any further questions.
Age: Circa 1961-1970
